What is Qflix?
Qflix is the consumer-facing brand name that represents the complete solution for secure video download and burn using recordable CSS technology. Consumers should look for DVD download and burn services, DVD recording drives and recordable media with the Qflix brand to ensure interoperability, system robustness and maximum playback compatibility.

Is Qflix owned by Sonic?
The Qflix branding program was developed by Sonic. It includes IP from Sonic and other companies

Can there be an extra level of protection added to CSS?
Yes, there are different options such as watermarking (see below), although anything significant (such as new encryption) would make the discs incompatible with existing players, contrary to our goal. Information will be added to the disc to enable future players and recorders to recognize recorded CSS discs.

Do other companies support Qflix?
Yes, there is a whole network of Qflix supporters from retailers, to DVD drive vendors, to DVD media manufacturers, and more.

What is the difference between Qflix and Qflix Pro?
Qflix Pro is the technology using by Manufacturing on Demand (MOD) customers. The system they use requires them to have their own CSS replicator license so they can write their own CSS key to special Qflix Pro media.
